There is a compass inside and can be used as such. It is used in this inclinometer to set and determine direction.
Both compass and inclinometer work and move freely. Both lock in place when buttons are pushed.
Works perfectly. Bothe sights work are complete and original.
Inclinometer shows some signs of prior use and is overall in good condition. Shows minor scuffing, minor scratches, no dings, no indentations, shows som pitting of the brass. View finder is fairly bright, shows no dust particles. Top of the finder where the light comes though shows a slight haze. Compas and inclinometer are contrasty and clearly visible. One needs to open the visor to let the light in..
Comes with original French instructions and in original leather case! Very nice device and very well constructed.
