I don't have a strong enough magnet to open the lamp, but I have no doubt that it can be opened and used. Useable wick is inside the lamp. Has Duran glass which shows no cracks or chips. Chrome and other metal parts is in very nice condition.
Shows some signs of prior use and is overall in very good condition. Shows minor scuffing, minor scratches, no dings, no indentations, no pitting. Very nice device and very well constructed.
