STEINHEIL TELE NEGATIVE LENS W/ 240MM GRUPPEN ANTIPLANAT LF 8X10 CAMERA

Very rare lens. Only one known as the no.810 lens that was at the Steinheil works museum. Made c.1880.
Front lens is a Steinheil Gruppen Antiplanet that comes into focus at 240mm and covers 8x10”, might have some fall=off. It is 53mm in height, measured with hood, and the front element is 44mm in diameter. BArrel diameter is 59mm. The lens has a 59mm screw thread mount.
The rear focussing part is a negative lens. Focus moves smoothly. Mounted on this lens I didn’t have a camera large enough to get the set up into focus.The lenses are cosmetically and mechanically in very good condition. Barrel shows some signs of prior use. Barrel shows no dings, no dents, some tarnishing  some small scuff marks and small scratches. The elements are in very good condition. Shows no cleaning marks, at the rear of the Antiplanet some tiny scratches, no haze, no fungus, no separation. Shows no dust particles inside.
