FRENCH CARTE DE VISITE, PROJECTOR LENS? PETZVAL LARGE FORMAT 4X5 5X7 WET PLATE

Lens shows a stamp of ‘A ld’. Lens has a hole at the side covered by tape and the inside. Front element shows separation at one side. I checked and the lens gets in to focus at infinity at a rear element distance to ground glass of approx. 190mm. Lens covers 4x5 with plenty of room to play and 5x7 with minor room to play.
The lens is cosmetically in good condition. Barrel shows some signs of prior use. Barrel shows no dings, no dents, some scuff marks, small scratches. The elements are in good condition. No cleaning marks, no scratches, no haze, no fungus, front element separation. Shows no dust particles inside.  Comes without flange. Total hight of the lens is 82mm, Diameter is 67mm. Screw thread is 68mm wide. Not sure, but seems to be a carte de visite lens. The cameras with multiple lenses. Or might be a projector lens, but seems odd to me.
