I've seen this on a Jonte camera, but I am not sure this is the make. Sure it must be French!
The ground glass side is used to focus the front part and show a sharp image. Work like a ground glass for plate back cameras that have a small peep hole.
Shows no scratches at the glass element.
Finder in nice condition. Shows some wear and discolouring on the sides. Glass in very good condition, is clean and bright.
Shows no dings, no dents. Top part slides smoothly. Image is also somewhat magnified.
