Antique French c.1870 camera made by Regondaud.
Note the few small repairs and cracks. At the rear the cog guide focus rail was added or rebuild. Study the pictures to get a good idea of what you will receive. Focus moves smooth. Comes with size reducing plate holder. I don’t know what the two slots at the top front sides were used for. The tail board little hooks at the bottom were soldered and are weak.
Wet plate camera shows some signs of prior use and overall in good condition. Shows a very nice lacquered patina. Wood is hard and all is very well constructed. Shows some small scuffs, some scratches, few dings, some small cracks, no dents. Original bellows moves smoothly, is overall in very good condition and light leak free. Comes with original ground glass in good condition. A small piece broke off in left upper corner.
The lens is overall in good condition. Shows no dings, no dents, some scuff marks, some small scratches. Shows age related wear and tarnishing of the brass.
Glass shows no haze, no separation, some small scratches at the rear, no fungus.
In all a very nice camera and lens!
