CARY GOULD TYPE ANTIQUE BRASS MICROSCOPE C.1820 W/ CASE SPECIMEN HOLDERS

Microscope is unsigned and missing the lock key. The wooden original case shows a crack at the top. Note this model has a hinge for tilting the microscope.
Microscope is 30.5cm, 12.00” in height. Comes with all items pictured. 2 lenses and the pincer are missing. Still, a very nice set.

The microscope is overall in good condition. Shows some signs of prior use. Shows superficial and small surface scratches and some tarnishing. Barrel shows no dings, no dents, no scuff marks, minor small scratches.
The elements of the lenses are in good condition. No cleaning marks, no scratches, no haze, no fungus, some dust on the elements. Shows some signs of prior use on the outside of the lenses. See pictures.
Microscope comes with all items shown in the pictures 2 loose elements, mirror, 1 specimen holder. Lenses are in good condition. Mirror one sided in good condition, some minor tiny spots. Focus works, skipping a small spot. All other functions of the microscope operate smooth. A nice example of a Cary Gould type microscope.
